Ratte, these are really great news for amithlon community. Radeon openpci driver is absolutely awesome thing to happen. There comes the possibility for other video cards to work on. Looks very interesting for me as well, as i might try myself developing another video card (openpci being the best option for drivers at the moment). Linux, actually kernel, side framebuffer drivers are pretty much exhausted.

I added support (partial h/w acceleration) for Mobility Radeon 9700 (tested) and GeForce PCX 5300, 5750, 5900 (pci express cards, not yet tested). It would be nice if there's someone with one of those cards to confirm. New kernel and linux sid drivers will be on sourceforge website soon.

I can say that I am not in the community and I will buy one when it comes out. I was a stubborn C64 user who never upgrded to Amiga and finally got a PC in the late 90s. Now that I'm in the market for a new laptop, I thought it would be fun to try something different and make the jump to AmigaI should have made years ago.

I'm definitely going to purchase this netbook when it is released.

Hope it will attract many fence-sitters and classic users to the world of AmigaOS 4. Perhaps it'll draw attention from outside the community as well. That would be awesome. :)

Hi Darren,

could you please change these videos to HTML5? We all have Amiga browsers and none of them can play Flash appropriately, but OWB can handle HTML5 quite well.

I see the PCI card, and its features look good, but I don't see any information as to whether it is compatible with the MEDIATOR or PROMETHEUS PCI add-on cards. Those methods are the only ways to have a PCI card fitted in a CLASSIC AMIGA, that I am aware of. I am just wondering if it is actually useable/compatible only for an AmigaONE, microA1 or the SAM motherboard cards rather than the CLASSIC PCI options. As far as I am aware Hyperion have not supported, so far, any PCI USB cards for CLASSIC machines, unless you can confirm this card is supported for CLASSIC AMIGA systems with some official release information from Hyperion.
