Toni Wilen has released WinUAE 3.0 that adds support, among other things, for PowerPC support. This does enable the ability to run Amiga OS 4.0 PPC, AmigaOS 4.1 Classic PPC, and likely AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition under emulation.
You can download WinUAE from the WinUAE site.
Note: You will need copies of Blizzard or Cyberstorm PPC ROMS and the rom image for a Picasso IV. Please obtain those legally.
Support for WinUAE is on the English Amiga Board, here.
Oops…we had a power outage here and I didn’t notice the laptop had rebooted! The web service is re-started now so the site is back up.
Stay tuned for updates….on G-REX, Blizzard PPC and more… 😉

I just wanted to acknowledge to everyone that I know there has been a lack of updates since May of this year. Unfortunately “life” has gotten in the way, both personally and professionally, so I no longer have the time to make frequent updates.
Hopefully that will change in the future! In the meantime this site will be kept online as a resource for Amiga users. I will try to fix the links to the broken pages soon.
Thanks for your understanding! 🙂
The site has been down recently because I have moved the site (yet again) – this time to a laptop. The laptop uses about 6 times less energy than the old desktop! About 15-25 watts vs well over 100 watts.
So enjoy the new “green” site! Some of the links are still broken and some of the images that were using the “File Gallery” plugin need to be re-done. – I will fix those asap.
The site has been up-and-down recently, and I am sorry about that. I have moved to a new location under construction and there have been various issues (including my cable/internet line being cut!).
Those issues are resolved now and the connectivity will be more solid and I can update the site more often.
If you have any ideas of what you would like to see on this site please let me know.
HD-Zone has completed it’s move to the new location, but may be up and down over the next several days! Thanks for your patience!
The server that runs HD-Zone.com will be moved to a new location beginning this weekend. The new location may not have full internet access until sometime late next week, so HD-Zone.com will be down for a little while.
Don’t forget…this year’s North American Amiga show is this coming weekend….Amiwest will be held Saturday and Sunday October 22-23, with the Friday night beer fest…err “Pre-Show” Friday October 21st.
Don’t miss your chance to see the new AmigaONE X1000 in action! Head over to the SACC website for updates. The Blog site has even more up-to-date information here.
I’m told that there will be a number of Amiga luminaries in attendance, including Steven Solie, Jens Schoenfeld, and the stalwart Bill “tekmage” Borsari from the UGN (User Group Network) handling show communications. AmigaKit will be on-hand to sell you all the latest stuff, and free AROS disks are being given out at the show! Other announced vendors include A-EON Technology (AmigaONE X1000), Individual Computers, PageStream, Efficient by Design, Viva Amiga, and Hyperion Entertainment.
Post a comment if you are planning to attend the show!
